Organisers of the annual Lagos International Trade Fair (LITF), the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), have disclosed that over 1,000 exhibitors and more than 500,000 visitors, from 20 countries, across the globe, have signified their intentions to participate at this year’s edition of the fair, scheduled for, between November 6 and 15, in Lagos.
The Chairman, Trade Promotion Board, LCCI, Princess Layo Bakare-Okeowo, made the disclosure, recently, while intimating the media of the arrangements being made by the board towards the forthcoming fair.
She expressed the delight at the number of brands that had signified their interests to be part of the annual event, expected to be flagged off by the nation’s Number One citizen, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, on Friday, November 6.
She stated that a major feature of the ten-day event, is the Business-to-Business and Business-to-Government Room, aimed at connecting the exhibitors with bulk buyers, build a network of business partners and sign deals.
Another major feature, she stated, is the Children’s Corner, for pupils and students of both primary and secondary schools across Lagos, to enable the children that come to the fair have maximum fun.
Okeowo described the fair as being increasingly imperative since it would go a long way in ensuring businesses in this part of the glone are in tune with global trade patterns.
“In the business world, global connections refer to the complex, interdependent networks of trade, communications, culture and technology that link people and organisations across national borders. This is what LITF has done for four decades,” she added.
