John Ajayi

 

The Founder and  Publisher of Marketing Edge Magazine, John Ajayi, is dead.

 

Announcing the passing on behalf of the family, in a statement issued on Wednesday, Executive Chairman, Gbonyin Local Government, Aisegba, Ekiti State, Hon. Oluwadamilare Ajayi,  described the late Marketing Edge boss as a respected journalist, visionary, entrepreneur and a towering figure in the nation’s  media and integrated marketing communications space.

 

 

“Mr. Ajayi, a respected journalist, visionary, entrepreneur and one of the most influential voices in the marketing communications ecosystem, departed this world leaving behind a legacy that profoundly shaped, and will continue to shape the industry he passionately served,” the statement read.

 

 

Reacting to the huge loss, the Marketing Edge family described Ajayi’s departure as a devastating blow to the organization and the nation’s marketing communications industry.

 

The staff and colleagues  described their late boss as a mentor, a leader of uncommon passion, and a man whose work transformed the  nation’s brand journalism and marketing communications  ecosystem.
